Whether you're an experienced keeper or purchasing your first exotic pet, our goal is to make the process simple, transparent, and stress-free.
How Ordering Works
1. Browse Available Animals
Explore our online inventory and find the animal that's right for you. Product listings are updated regularly as animals and supplies become available.
2. Place Your Order
Once you've found the animal you'd like to purchase, complete your order through our secure online checkout.
3. Processing & Health Review
After your order is placed, it enters our processing phase. During this time, we verify inventory, evaluate the animal's health and condition, and prepare the shipment for safe transportation.
This process typically takes 24–72 business hours.
Our commitment to animal welfare comes before any sale. In the event an animal does not meet our health and quality standards, becomes unavailable, or cannot be safely shipped, Alternative Pet Universe may cancel the order and issue a full refund. Customers will be notified promptly if this occurs.
4. Safe & Secure Delivery
Once approved for shipment, your animal is professionally packaged and shipped. Tracking information will be provided so you can monitor your shipment and prepare for delivery.
An adult signature is required upon delivery for all live animal shipments.

Our inventory changes frequently, and not every animal we have access to is always listed on our website. Due to the constantly changing nature of the exotic animal industry, Alternative Pet Universe may be able to source specific animals, morphs, and traits that are not currently displayed in our online inventory.

When submitting your request, please include:
- Species you're looking for
- Preferred morph, traits, sex, size, or other desired characteristics
- Quantity needed (if applicable)
Our team will review your request and respond within 24 hours or sooner with availability options.
If we are able to fulfill your request, we will add the available animal(s) to our website for you to review. Once listed, you can view the details, complete your order, and proceed through our standard checkout process.
Please note: Animal availability changes daily and cannot be guaranteed until an order has been confirmed and payment has been completed.
Before You Order
Exotic animals require specialized care, proper housing, and a long-term commitment. We strongly encourage all customers to research the species they are interested in and have the appropriate habitat prepared prior to delivery.
By placing an order, you acknowledge that live animals are a long-term responsibility and that you have independently researched the species being purchased.
